I'm assuming the King giving up his eye was Odin, and one of the old root words of 'witch' and 'wicca' meant 'wise one' and similar... Just a thought. ^.^
By the way, you made a good point on venting/ranting of any type- all too often people fall into the trap of thinking they've hit upon wisdom... I think we're all a bit guilty of that at some point.
